Doing The Fan Dance With Ed Jackson

2 years ago, Crispin, the founder of Kabuto Noodles broke his neck after diving into a shallow river in Portugal. He spent over a year in recovery… As a result of this, he decided it would be a great fit for Kabuto to partner up with and support Ex-rugby player Ed Jackson, who also very unfortunately broke his neck diving into a shallow swimming pool at a friend’s house. But very inspiringly, after being told by doctors he would never walk again, Ed sought to prove them wrong and is now not only walking again but is climbing mountains to raise money for the charities that helped him in his recovery.

So we’re super excited to announce some news! To help Ed with his spinal injury recovery and to also raise money for his charities, all of us at Kabuto along with Ed have decided to climb Pen Y Fan – the highest peak in South Wales (eek!). Ed has also very kindly agreed to help train the Kabuto Team, as we’re definitely in need of it…

We had a catch up with Ed in his gym where he gave us some great tips and tricks for training for the climb and for keeping fit. Watch the video below.

So, once Ed agreed to help train Kabuto for our Pen Y Fan climb, Crispin met up with Ed at his gym where Ed put Crispin to the test and set him a challenge to beat his own personal best on the ski erg. SPOILER! We think we might have a bit of training to do…

Think you can beat Ed’s time on the ski erg or row machine? Send a pic of your personal best to samuraichat@kabutonoodles.com and if it beats Ed’s we’ll send you a big bundle of noodles!
